Assignment Help:

Cast Iron Electrodes

There are three types of electrodes for welding of cast ions.

a) Monel-cored electrodes (30 % Ni 70 % Cu)
b) Fe-Ni (40 % Ni)
c) Ni-electrodes (97 E)

These electrodes can be used for welding of machinable welds whereas for non machinable parts of cast iron, any low hydrogen electrode can be used with slight preheating of the job.
