Q. Drawback of the system using disk caching?

The main drawback of the system using disk caching is risking loss of updated information in event of machine failures like loss of power. For this reason system may periodically flush cache buffer in order to minimize amount of loss.

Disk drive cache is fundamentally two-dimensional-all the bits are out in the open.
