Draw the state diagram of a process from its creation to termination, including all transitions, and briefly elaborate every state and every transition.

When a process executes, this changes state as

  • new: The process is to be created.
  • running: Instructions are to be executed.
  • waiting: The process is waiting for several event to happen.
  • ready: The process is waiting to be assigned to a processor.
  • terminated: The process has done execution.
