Discuss any one application of 8254 Programmable Interval Timer in detail.

Mode1 causes the counter to treat as a retriggerable monostable multivibrator one shot.

The G input triggers the counter therefore this develops a pulse at type OUT connection which becomes logic 0 for the era of count.

The counter is reloaded with the count and the OUT continues for the total length of the count.
