Differentiate following.

f ( x ) = sin (3x2  + x )

Solution

It looks as the outside function is the sine & the inside function is 3x2+x. The derivative is then.

Or  along with a little rewriting,

f ′ ( x ) = (6x + 1) cos (3x2  + x )
