Differentiate between static and dynamic memory?

The static RAM is simpler to use and has shorter read and write cycles. One of the main applications of static RAM is in executing the cache memories. The dynamic RAM offers decreased power consumption and large storage capacity in a single memory chip. They are used to execute main memory.
