Different characteristics of software measures
Different characteristics of software measures identified by Basili (1989) are given below:
• Objects of measurement: They indicate processes and products to be measured.
• Source of measurement: It indicates who will measure software. For illustration, software tester, software designer and software managers.
• Property of measurement: It indicates attribute to be measured such as cost of softwaremaintainability, reliability, portability and size.
•Context of measurement: It indicates environments in which context software measurements are applied.
Repeated inheritance If a class inherits more than once from the same class then it is referred to as repeated inheritance.
Bottom-up integration This testing starts construction and testing with the components at the lowest levels in the program structure.
