Q. Dietary approach for pectic ulcer?

Let us now move on to understand the dietary approach. We shall begin with the nutrient requirements of the patients. However before we talk about the key nutrient intake let us brief ourselves on the energy intake.

Energy: The energy intake should be such as to help the patient in achieving and maintaining an ideal body weight. An adequate energy intake is a must to prevent subsequent weight Loss and spare the proteins for healing of ulcers.
