Determine the power rating of compressor motor, Electrical Engineering

Assignment Help:

An ice plant produces 12tonn of ice per day at 00C using water at 300C. The plant operates on reversed Carnot cycle between -150C and 280C. If the actual C.O.P. is 50% of the ideal C.O.P. and the overall electromechanical efficiency is 0.8, Determine the power rating of compressor motor. Latent heat of ice is 335KJ/kg, specific heat of water is 4.18KJ/kgK. With the help of neat graph and T-S diagram illustrate the working of simple air cooling system used in air craft.
