Determine temperature at inner surface, Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:

A long hollow cylinder has outer and inner radii 150 mm and 50mm respectively. It create heat at a rate of 1kW/m³ (k= 0.5 W/m ºC). If the maximum temperature obtain at radius of 100 mm and the temperature of the outer surface is 50 ºC, determine

i. Temperature at inner surface,

ii. Maximum temperature in the cylinder.
