1 Prepare an updated sketch of the electro-hydraulic system shown in Figure showing the actuators in their start position appropriate to your allocated actuator sequence.
2 By utilising relevant labels and Profibus addresses, prepare a sketch of an appropriate ASI/Profibus (DP) topology supporting two independent ASI networks and show how you would allocate 4I/4O slave modules to your ASI/Profibus(DP) network in order to accommodate the actuators, sensors and Profibus Addresses for two electro-hydraulic sub-systems. Note: The ASI slave modules you've been allocated are shown in Table (1) Note: Assume THREE 8-bit Input Cards and TWO 8-bit Output Cards have been centrally assigned to the PLC for switch control and LED indicator purposes respectively
3 Using the switching functions you prepared in Assignment (1) and the actuator/sensor labels and Profibus addresses you have proposed in Section 2.2 for the two sub-systems, prepare two handwritten drawings of Siemens PLC ladder diagrams capable of producing the required control with one sub-system being assigned to each ASI Network.
4 Show how you would modify your ladder diagrams in Section 3 to include the following additional control requirements shown in Table (1) using Timers (T1 and T2) and Counter (C1) as appropriate where:
(i) Timer T1 provides a 30 second delay and T2 provides a 1.5 minute delay.
(ii) Each sub-system will be required to undertake 4 complete cycles using counter C1 and can only be reactivated by the associated manual START button.
Kinetics of Rigid Bodies: For the bodies undergoing plane motion, a common scheme for solutions is to apply the equations of dynamic equilibrium as below. ∑ F x = m a x
Describe the use of computer in : (i) Design (ii) Manufacturing Illustrate the design process and application of CAD.
