Describe the Menu based interfaces for web clients or browsing?

Menu-Based Interfaces for Web Clients or Browsing - These interfaces present the user along with lists of options, known as menus, which lead the user by the formulation of a request. Pull-down menus are extremely popular techniques in Web-based user interfaces.
They are also used within browsing interfaces that permit a user to look through the contents of a database within an exploratory and unstructured manner.
