(a) Describe stochastic printing and provide three benefits of this printing technique.

(b) Though offset printing is the most common form of mass printing and publishing, there are some common problems that occur during this printing process. Identify problems arising from offset printing and give the definition of each one.

(c) A contract proof generally serves as an agreement between customer and printer and as a colour reference guide for adjusting the press before the final press run. Hard proof is an actual printed sample of a printed product. Name the general classifications of hard proof and describe each of these terms.

(d) Describe what do you understand by ‘Foil Stamping' and ‘Die Cutting' in the context of printing.

(e) Highlight two differences between spot colour printing and process colour printing?

(f) Describe what do you meant by ‘monochrome' and give an example in which area of design it has intensely influenced the aesthetic value of design artworks.
