Describe how has haiti suffered under u.s. dominance, History

Assignment Help:

As a graduate historian, I focused my learning on U.S. relations with our sister republics in the Western Hemisphere. Our role in the Americas has been woeful and disingenuous, IF we believe that we our nation's role in this hemisphere in the world is to help promote democracy. We have not. It is a plain historical fact. The disaster in Haiti is a great human tragedy. Randall Robinson is an acknowledged expert on Haiti. How much responsibility do we as a nation bear for creating and building a failed state? Take the time to listen to this interview and then respond to my question: How has Haiti suffered under U.S. dominance? Also, President Obama attempted to keep the democratically elected President Aristide from returning to Haiti from six long years in forced exile. Something's have not changed.
