Derivatives of Exponential and Logarithm Functions : The next set of functions which we desire to take a look at are exponential & logarithm functions. The most common exponential & logarithm functions in a calculus course are the natural exponential function, ex , and the natural logarithm function, ln ( x ) .  However, we will take a more general approach & look at the general exponential & logarithm function.
