Define the process of Otto cycle

The Otto cycle is the ideal air standard cycle for petrol and gas engine.

It having of four processes.

Process 1 to 2 is isentropic compression (work input to the system).

Process 2 to 3 is constant volume heat addition to the system.

process 3 to 4 is isentropic expansion (work output to the system).

Process 4 to 1 is constant volume heat rejection to the surroundings.
