Define the pre-tensioned concrete construction

We understand that in the pre-tensioned concrete construction, stretched tendons are provided in the concrete moulds at the time of  casting of concrete. In the post-tensioned concrete construction, this is not a requirement as the ducts are fitted inside the moulds at the time of casting of  concrete. The transfer of prestress takes place early in  the case of pre-tensioned concrete members (it
takes place at the time of cutting of  tendons after the concrete has sufficiently hardened) while the transfer of prestress, in the case of post-tensioned concrete members, takes place when tendons are placed  inside ducts and anchored in a stretched condition.
