Define the Healing Process - Root Canal Treatment
The course of healing varies and depends on:
1) Initial size of the lesion: It takes longer for larger periradicular lesions to heal compared to smaller lesions.
2) Age of the patient. : Young patients healed more fasters than older
3) Immunologic status of the patient: ex. Diabetic patient, compromised patients and patients on chemotherapy
4) Quality of root canal filling: length and weight of obturation ( apical termination, weight of obturation and coronal seal )
Overfilled is worse than under filled.
