Define NOT Gate - Microprocessor?
The NOT GATE which is as well called an Inverter, is used to invert the logic state of a signal. The output Q is true while the input A is NOT true, the output is the inverse of the input: Q = NOT A. The symbol for a NOT gate is shown underneath.
The output of the NOT gate will be the reverse state of the input into the NOT gate. The truth table for the NOT gate is shown below.
