Define Electronic Data Interchange.

An EDI stand for Electronic Data Interchange is used by organizations for transactions which occur on regular basis to a pre-determined format. This is one of the electronic commerce technologies.

This is used in number of trade sectors for inter-regular, organization, repeat transactions.

These systems need EDI standards, Electronic Data Interchange software, an EDI trading and network community.
