Define Cyclic Force Transfer Test of Shock Transmission Unit?

This test is specified to prove that the STU would function as intended during a seismic event. The STU shall be tested by applying 50 sinusoidal cycles of load ranging between the maximum design tension and compression forces at a frequency of 1 Hz. There shall be no visible signs of distress or degradation as a result of 50 cycles of loading.
