Q. Define atomic mass units?

Atomic mass Scientists have set up a standard for the measurement of atomic mass by assigning the carbon-12 atom a mass of 12 atomic mass units (amu). Therefore 1 amu is equal to 1/12 the mass of a carbon-12 atom.
