We know that agriculture comprises the major source of food production. Improvements in the agricultural sector will hence result in overall improvements of the rural economy. This improvement provides employment opportunities for a large population, The extent of food production is influenced by various factors. The factors nay operate from the individual level (e.g. procurement of land, availability of manpower, management of manpower, purchase of equipment etc.) to the policy level (food pricing, subsidies, imports and exports. etc).

If you go back to Figure, you would note that it shows interaction between various factors. It shows that inputs like land, manpower, equipment and fertilizers and demand for food determine the food supply /production.
