Deferred coupon bonds, Financial Management

Deferred coupon bonds are generally issued at a discount price and are used for financing leveraged buyouts. The coupon payment on these types of bonds is deferred for a specific period, and later a lump sum amount is paid, generally at the time of maturity with par value of the bond.
