Control of the guide vanes shall be by means of an external linkage connected to the internal control ring Steam Generator piping.

Inlet guide vanes shall be furnished with the following:

  • External guide vane position indicator
  • Permanently lubricated ball or spherical bearings at each spindle support
  • Adequate lubrication fittings for components requiring periodic lubrication. These shall be accessible for maintenance while the fan equipment is in operation.

Automatically controlled guide vanes shall incorporate the following features:

  • Pneumatic type operators complete with positioners (Fisher or approved equal.
