For the first assignment you are required to construct a logic circuit onto a copper clad circuit board (vero board). This construction will require the use of planning the position of the components to use the copper clad connectors, hence minimise external wires and soldering the components in. A word of warning 'it is easier to move a planned drawing compared to de-soldering a component'. This process is easy if we follow simple logical steps

Find the package (components) details of the actual devices used from the circuit diagram i.e.

The circuit uses 3 different type of logic chips a 7408 (quad 2 input AND gate), a 7404 (hex inverter) and a 7486 (quad exclusive or gate). These come in the 14 pin DIL (Dual in line) packages as shown below
