Compute the volume and surface area of a right circular cone, Mathematics

Assignment Help:

Compute the volume and surface area of a right circular cone:

Compute the volume and surface area of a right circular cone along with r =  3", h = 4", and l = 5".  Be sure to involve the units in your answer.

Solution:

V = 1/3  πr2h                                       SA  =   πr2  + πrl

V = 1/3 π (3)(3)(4)                              SA  =   π(3)(3) + π(3)(5)

V = 1.05(36)                                       SA =    π(9) + π(15)

V = 37.8 cubic inches                         SA = 28.3 + 47.1

SA = 528/7 = 75-3/7 square inches
