Components of Steam Power Plant:

There are four components of steam power plant:

1. The boiler: Hot-source reservoir in which the combustion gases raise steam.

2. Engine/Turbine: The steam reciprocating engine or turbine to convert portion of heat energy into mechanical work.

3. Condenser: Cold sinks into which heat is rejected.

4. Pump: Condensate extraction pump or boiler feed pump to return condensate back into boiler.
