Capacities of Machine Tools:
The dimensional limitations of machine or equipment and their capacities should be considered. Such as lathe size capacity or press capacity of furnace etc.
Surface Finish:
The type of tool machines manufacturing process selected will vary with surface finish requirements. When rough surface finish is sufficient single point cutting tool is used but when smooth surface finish is desired multipoint cutting tool and costly operations such as honing, lapping and super finishing are carried out .
