Artificial cells are made of a polymer which acts just like a cell membrane, though polymer is stronger and more manageable than real membranes. These polymers are known as polymersomes and can be made to cross-link with other polymers. Researchers feel that numerous kinds of molecules can be encapsulated within thesepolymersomes and then delivered to particular target organs.
