Calculate the pressure and temperature, Physics

Assignment Help:

A box is divided into two parts of equal volume via a partition. The box is thermally insulated from the surroundings. Consider that compartment 1 contains an ideal gas A at P0, T0 and compartment 2 is evacuated.

(a) Calculate the pressure and temperature in both compartments at equilibrium if the partition is removed.

(b) Calculate the entropy change due to the removal of the partition.
