I need help with writing an essay for Art History which involves these two pieces of art: "Apollo Belvedere" (Sometimes called Pythian Apollo (shooting an arrow) killing of the python of Delphi) "Aule Metele" (Sometimes called the Orator because of his pose. He wears a Roman toga with his name in Etruscan letters on the hem and the boots of a magistrate) Here are some questions I was given to consider for my essay: How are they similar? How are they different? (don't focus on marble / bronze) How do each of these figures exemplify their respective culture? (i.e., Greek and Roman?) What does this comparison tell us about each culture? Can you guys help me answer some of these questions and maybe help me think of other important topics to include in my essay. Thank you very much.
