Antipyretic:

Antipyretic is a drug that is accountable for lowering the temperature of feverish object. The central nervous system, specifically the hypothalamus, takes an significant role in maintaining the balance among the heat production and heat loss in order to regulate the body temperature. So the hypothalamus is called as the thermostat of the body.

The antipyretic drug assists to reset the thermostat at usual temperature. Heat development is not reserved but heat loss is raised by increased peripheral blood flow that raises the rate of perspiration. This reflects body to lose heat and consequently lowers the body temperature.
