Animal Biotechnology:
Animal cell cultures have been and are being generate important products based on their genetic information or due to genes transferred into them (transgenic) by using recombinant DNA technology. But biotechnological approaches are used in to increase animals of desired genotypes or to establish specific alterations in their genotypes to get certain useful goals. To attain the latter more efficiently, and to attend in conservative breeding efforts, the complete genomes of animals are being characterized by using biotechnology tools. These processes have been arbitrarily grouped under animal biotechnology since they either utilize animal cells to generate products or apply biotechnological tools to boost the usefulness of animals to human welfare.
