An experiment with a floating candle, Science

Assignment Help:

An experiment with a floating candle

Put a nail in the lower end of a candle. The nail should be just the right weight to make the candle float with its top a little above the surface of the water. Float the candle and nail in a tall glass of water. Light the candle and watch it unless it is nearly burned up. The candle constantly loses weight as it burns. Why does it continue to float?
