Alternative Systems of E-cash

Officially digital money or electronic is a illustration, or a system of credits and debits, used to replace value, inside another system, or itself as a separate system, online or offline. Also occasionally the term electronic money is used to submit to the provider itself. Private currency may use gold to offer extra security, such as digital gold currency. Also, a number of private organizations, such as the US military make use of private currencies for example Eagle Cash.

a lot of systems will sell their electronic currency straightforwardly to the end user, for instance Web Money and  PayPal, but other systems, for example Liberty Reserve, sell only throughout third party digital currency exchangers.

In the case of Octopus Card in Hong Kong, deposits work equally to banks'. After Octopus Card Limited receives money for deposit from users, the money is put into banks, which is related to debit-card-issuing banks red positing money at central banks.
