Total Drag on an aerofoil is called profile drag

- Skin friction

• due to tangential force arising from friction

- Pressure

• Form - due to the integrated effect of pressuremodification from presence of the boundary layer

• Wave - due to the presence of shock waves

• The potential prediction of drag is zero- Inviscid, incompressible, irrotational
