Accumulator - Registers
It is an 8 bit registers which is the most important part of the arithmetic and logic unit. It is used to store 8 bit data. The result of arithmetical and logical operations are stored in the accumulator. It is also used to receive data from input port to microprocessor and to sends data to output from microprocessor. It is referred as register A in the program.
The bits of any register are referred as D7 -D0 as shown in figure.
