Maximim and Minimum mode 8088 system :
In the maximum mode, the pin 880 is lastingly high. The functions and timings of other pins of 8088 are exactly similar to 8086. Due to the dissimilarity in the bus structure, the timing diagrams are different somewhat. The minimum and maximum mode systems are also similar to the respective 8086 systems.
The 8088 systems require only one data buffer due to the 8-bit data bus. In figure, shown the minimum and maximum mode systems of 8088 respectively.
