In this assignment, you will investigate the low-carbon technology that would be most suitable to provide heat and power for a domestic building.

• Using information try to identify the main energy demands associated with a domestic building (e.g. electricity for lighting and appliances, space heating, hot water etc.)

• With knowledge of the demands in your building investigate the technical characteristics of the below technology:

1. Engine-based combined heat and power, gas consumption.

The assignment hand-in should take the form of a short report in which you should: identify and justify the main building energy demands; describe the characteristics of the above technology, giving pros and cons (including costs) ;
