Problem: The following two solutions are mixed together, and results in the formation of a precipitate.

75.0 mL of 0.800 M AgNO3

125.0 mL of 0.600 M NaCl

The precipitate is allowed to fall out of solution entirely. It is assumed that ALL of one of the ions involved in the reaction is completely consumed in the formation of the precipitate.

Question 1: Write the net ionic equation for the formation of the precipitate.

Question 2: What is the mass of the precipitate produced?

Question 3: What is the concentration of the corresponding ion, involved in the formation of the precipitate, once the reaction has gone to completion?
