Assessment Description Report
You are to write an article review report on the contributing factors to enterprise system implementation failures in organisations and how they can be resolved. You may use the following outline:
Introduction:
Define your topic and provide an appropriate context for reviewing the literature.
Middle or main body:
Organise the literature according to common themes.
Conclusion:
Summarise the important aspects of the existing body of literature.
The reports must have a word count of minimum 1,000 and maximum 1,100 words. Students are required to use additional recent references (2020-Current Year) and visuals created by AI or from articles to support their arguments.
Your report should be a synthesis of ideas researched from a variety of sources and expressed in your own words. It should be written in clear English and be submitted in electronic format as either a Word document or a pdf file. This electronic file will be checked using Turnitin for any evidence of plagiarism. You are expected to use in-text citations to support your arguments which should be referenced in the normal APA referencing style.
Research expectation:
The submission needs to be supported with information by credible sources. Credible sources should be varied and include, but not limited to, the Textbook, Government reports, Industry reports, Newspaper articles, Books, and Journal articles.

Lab 1 (10%) This lab focuses on foundational research about an Australian company named "BlueScope Steel Limited"
Tasks:
Introduction: Write about BlueScope Steel's history, its business operations, and its global branches.
Organizational Structure: Propose a hierarchical structure with departments (silos) for the company. (Use Gemini + canvas).
Management Levels: Decide if the company should have 2 or 3 management levels. Include explanation of level visually.
ERP Modules: Suggest 7 relevant ERP modules for BlueScope based on its business (e.g., Accounting module). Include hyperlinks from where this was extracted.
Output for Lab 1: This work should be saved in a Word document, which will form the beginning of your overall portfolio report. Include Sections required visuals created by AI to the related topic and hyperlink to each ERP Module explanation. At the end include the link of your conversation with AI, format professionally this report.
Lab 2
You will continue working on the document from Lab 1.
Tasks:
Module Selection: Choose one of the 7 ERP modules you suggested in Lab 1 and build an SDLC for it. To do this, Use Gemini + Canvas to complete the following:
Analysis Phase (Functional Requirements):
Create a table detailing functional requirements for at least three different interfaces within your chosen module.
For example, if you chose an Accounting Module (select something different to this module), you might define interfaces for accountants, an accounting manager, and high-level management, listing functions for each (e.g., add payment, calculate total, create payroll).
Design Phase (GUI):
Lab 3
This lab requires understanding BlueScope's steel production and designing a GUI for its Blast Furnace operations.
Before building the business processes, you need to read and understand how they produce the steel from the iron ore using the coking coal and limestone. (Include this in the document). BlueScope uses multiple types of energy to melt materials such as coke, electricity and natural Gas. Melting the materials is processed in an oven called "Blast Furnace". Use Gemini (Canvas) for fast prototyping your UI and other internet resources to complete the required tasks.
Lab 4
This lab shifts to hands-on testing of applications within the Odoo ERP platform.
Tasks:
Application Setup: Use odoo.com and select the following applications:
Manufacturing
Project
Accounting
Timesheet
Studio
Employees
Testing and Documentation: Test each of the selected applications. For each application, add new items, capture screenshots demonstrating the process, and document the steps professionally within your report.
Output for Lab 4: This section of your report will consist of the screenshots taken during the Odoo application testing, organized by application. You should briefly describe the steps shown in your screenshots. Develop a table to maintain and organize your submission or create a professional report including visuals.
