Assignment

1. For the first part of this task you need to write a report that considers the key methodologies of TQM and theinfluence they can have so as to lead to an ‘effective quality' organisation. As aminimum your discussion should consider the following elements:

-Improvement teams/teamwork
-Quality circles
-Kaizen Teams

The second part of this task gives you the opportunity to recommend (using pictorial presentation) organisational structures conducive to an effective quality organisation. The structure(s) should show functions, responsibilities, lines of communication which will suit the overall methodology throughout the organisation and furthermore the production function. From this you should be able to explain how the organisational mission, vision, strategy and culture values can be met.

2. For the first part of this task you should write a report that considers the following elements in analysing the application of TQM techniques within the given organisation:

-Process flow charts
-Tally charts
-Pareto analysis
-Cause and effect
-SPC
-Benchmarking Methods - use of appraisal/teambuilding, mentoring - compliance to standards/procedures and manuals
-Performance indicators
