Instructions for Essay
? Topic needs to be on a current event that has happened during the past 20 years which has impacted? and been rooted in our history from a global context (important!)? It can political or controversial.
? (e.g. 9/11, Black lives (shootings), Florida massacre, British exit from UN, Paris terror attacks, or any terror attacks in general)
? You may choose a topic that you are most familiar with or interested in. If you can't choose, maybe 9/11 will do.
? I need to give historical context? of this event and the significance ?of it.
? My professor wants around 8 sources.? (Library or internet)
? For library sources, if you know of any good books on a specific topic, please include them. It'd be nice to include some.
? For internet sources, the website must end with .org? or .gov.? NO .com? website.
(NO wikipedia) Only exceptions for .com? websites, would be viable news source!
Brief Outline
Introduction Paragraph?: Must state what event I am working on, and last statement will be my thesis.
Body?: 5-7 paragraphs (history)
Conclusion?: Quick summary, ending with what is next to come for our country. (e.g. importance of government moving forward, the actions we are taking)
