The assignment:

· Choose a social or environmental problem that bugs you and that relates to the business topic: Ethical Framework in Business

· Go to the Internet, and research (at least) two examples of people and/or organizations that are addressing the problem

· Select/create the approach you would use if you were to start a social entrepreneurial venture to address the problem

· Identify a foundation or other organization that is supporting solutions to this problem

· Write a memo to the head of the foundation or organization reporting what you have discovered

Your memo should (1) identify the problem that you would address, (2) discuss the (at least) two approaches you discovered from Solutions Journalism Network and/or elsewhere, and (3) propose the approach you would use and why you think that approach is a good one.

Your memo is to be addressed to the head of a specific foundation/organization by name. Target length: 750 words or 3 pages double spaced.
