Teaching Plan Key Reminders
Below are the frequently missed requirements for your Week 4 teaching plan assignment. In addition to the assignment guidelines and grading rubric, please review the following information in detail before submitting your assignment. Place Your Order Now!
Please review the grading rubric so each of the required components/topics is addressed!
Commonly missed components follow:
Target Audience section:
The target audience refers to the individuals to whom the content would be presented. The audience includes senior nursing students, new graduates, millennial learners, experienced nurses, and patients.
Three unique characteristics specific to the chosen audience must be identified and explained.
In the rationale sections, please address how your chosen instructional methods, learning resources, and evaluation methods will specifically address each of the three characteristics identified for the target audience.
Lesson Title sections:
An official title for your lesson is required.
Learning Objectives sections:
Only two learning objectives are required for the teaching plan assignment.
Remember that more is not better. Please only list two in total.
Each learning objective must be realistic and measurable with an action verb.
In the rationale section, please discuss which learning domain each objective relates to. The learning domains are cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Each learning objective has only one learning domain. The evaluation method needs to match the learning domain. For example, if the action verb for a learning objective is consistent with the psychomotor learning domain, the evaluation section should be psychomotor.
Within Week 4, module titled "Developing a Teaching Plan", there is a webinar titled "Understanding Outcomes." This is the webinar mentioned in the student's review/webinar about the assignment. It was moved from the "toolbox" to be embedded within the module about the teaching plan.
Topical Outline sections:
This is an outline of the content to be covered so that the learning objective can be accomplished/achieved.
The outline should be in bullet point format.
Instructional Methods and Learning Resources sections:
Three instructional methods and three learning resources for each learning objective are required.
Within the Instructional Methods rationale, be sure to reflect on your philosophy of nursing education.
Within the Learning Resources rationale, be sure to explain how each of the three learning resources aligns with the lesson content.
Evaluation Methods sections:
Only one method evaluation for each objective is required.
Remember that the evaluation method determines that each learning objective was met.
Within the rationale, be sure to explain how the evaluation method is congruent with the learning domain addressed within the learning objective rationale.
References:
A minimum of four scholarly sources related to teaching and learning must be used and cited in the rationale sections to support Instructional Methods and Learning Resources sections.
Remember that rationale explains the why. Why was each instructional method selected? Why was each learning resource selected? Why was the evaluation method selected? Always link the rationale back to the target audience.
The four scholarly references will be in addition to any references related to the content of the teaching plan, such as YouTube, procedure manuals, brochures, and textbooks.
