Lengths: 3000
What is the research about?
•Most of artists will rely on organisations, arts centres, community centres or education system which make easier to demonstrate the art works in China. The first question I wondering is if the artists could be an art manager for themselves? Another question is if art managers may not have experienced in Sound Art how they engage with the artists when they are new? Here are extended issues based on 2 main question above:
• Why I curating the Sound Arts exhibition?
•Where/who are my main audience or visitors or consumers?
• What Sound Arts works will be showed in the exhibition? (create by ourselves or choose other artists) How to choose Sound Arts works?
• Why the audience come to the exhibition rather than to a concert?
• What are the strategies of promoting the exhibition?
• What benefits or impacts through the exhibition to the local art market?
• How to get fund/sponsor?
• What advertisement should I do?
• Free entry or charge? What are the differences in setting?
• How about the engineers and volunteers?
• What is the correct sale strategy for consumer in Shanghai?
Why is this research important?
How will the research be conducted?
Below is the proposal of this project. The markets and trend of Sound Arts have to be analyzed.
