Assignment:
This film is based on Prof. Jared Diamond's Pulitzer Prize-winning book, Guns, Germs and Steel. This book and the film are his answer to a question he received on the island of Papua New Guinea. There, in 1974, a local named Yali asked Diamond a deceptively simple question:
"Why is it that you white people developed so much cargo, but we black people had little cargo of our own?"
Diamond realized that Yali's question penetrated the heart of a great mystery of human history -the roots of global inequality-and sought to find an answer for thirty years.
After watching the film, write 20 to 100-words answers to each question below. Write in complete sentences. Your answer must exhibit polish (correct spelling and grammar).

1. What are the common elements found in all four civilizations? List at least three.
