Project American History on Immigration
Part 1.
You will choose a country from the list that the teacher will provide. You will do some research on this country answering the following question. (Note Taking Skills)
1. Why did the people immigrate to America?
2. How did they travel to America? What happened during the travel period? How long did it take?
3. When they finally arrived in America, what did they do? Where did they go?
This part of the project is due Tuesday of week 3. You will share and discuss what you found with the class.
Part 2.
You will create a documentary on immigration from your chosen country to America. You will create a narrative including the information from part 1. Remember a narrative must be descriptive. You are painting a picture in our minds as to what you went through when you immigrated. You must have visuals to along with your narrative. You can do this using prezi or power point. You may use old images from the past about your country. Please be creative. I will have several things that I will grade'on ( the narrative, the information provided and creativity ). This project will be presented starting Tuesday of Week
4. Do not wait until the last minute to put this together. Working on this a little bit everyday will give you a much better project.
