Explain why the effectiveness of each style of leadership would depend on the personality traits and cultural background of the employees.
1. Task leadership is an important leadership style because things will get done and responsibility will be divided fairly. Efficiency is key and standardization and streamlining become possible.
Social leadership, also known as interpersonal leadership contributes to an effective management style, because this allows everyone to get to know each other- it is a grease to the wheels of interpersonal feelings and relationships. Followers to this form of leadership will be happier and more productive.
2. I work in a company that houses more than 2,500 employees and have seen different types of leadership. I have seen servant leadership, delegative leadership, authoritative leadership, and the poor leader who has no business being a leader. Whether it'd be in task leadership or social leadership, effective leadership is needed to ensure employees are engaged. Culture affects leaders in the way they express and interprets their facial expression and gestures.
